WHAT IT DOES

Let shoppers look closer without leaving the shop page

Quick view popup

Full photo gallery, price, description and Add to cart in a popup. On phones it slides up from the bottom.

Your swatches and options work

The popup loads the product's real add-to-cart form, so tested swatch, option and quote plugins work inside it.

Safe fallback

If the popup cannot load, the button opens the normal product page. It uses your theme's own button and form styles.

SETUP GUIDE

How to set it up.

STEP 1

Install Quick View

  1. Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
  2. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New and search for Quick View. Or upload the zip under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.
  4. Open WooCommerce → Quick View.
STEP 2

Choose where the button shows

The first time you open the settings, Quick View asks one question: "Where should the Quick view button show?" Nothing is guessed for your theme. You can change it later on the General tab.

  • Button text: the label on the button, "Quick view" by default.
  • Button position: Under Add to cart or On the product image.
  • Click Save Changes.

The button uses your theme's button classes. Quick View's script and style load only on shop, category and search pages.
STEP 3

What shoppers see

Open your shop page. Each product has a Quick view button. Pressing it opens the product in a popup with its gallery, price, short description, stock, quantity and Add to cart, plus a View full details link to the product page. The cart count updates without leaving the page.

On phones the popup slides up from the bottom. Swipe down or tap outside to close it.
STEP 4

Swatches, options and quote buttons

The popup loads the same add-to-cart form the product page prints, and Add to cart uses WooCommerce's own request. So prices and checks from other plugins are the same as on the product page. Each release is tested with:

  • Variation Swatches for WooCommerce (GetWooPlugins), Variation Swatches for WooCommerce (CartFlows) and WCBoost – Variation Swatches.
  • Advanced Product Fields for WooCommerce, Extra Product Options For WooCommerce (ThemeHigh), YITH WooCommerce Product Add-Ons & Extra Options and PPOM for WooCommerce (free versions).
  • Our own Quote Request and Product Options.
Using a plugin that is not on the list? Its fields may show in the popup without working, so shoppers can use View full details. Tell us which plugin it is and we will test it for a later release.
STEP 5

Pro features

Pro options are shown greyed out on the Pro tab, so you can see what they do. Pro adds:

  • Next / previous product inside the popup, and related products.
  • Image zoom on every theme, and tap to zoom on phones.
  • What shows: title, rating, price, short description, Add to cart, SKU and categories, in the order you choose.
  • Button on image hover or as an icon, only on chosen categories, and what happens after Add to cart: stay, open the cart or go to checkout.

WooCommerce → Quick View → Pro

The Report tab in Pro shows, for each product, how many times shoppers opened Quick view and how many of those added it to the cart. It stores no customer data.

FAQ

Common questions

Shop, category and search pages, and also tag and attribute archives.
Yes. The page holds only the button and the product is fetched when the button is pressed, so a cached page still opens the popup. If add to cart fails on an old cached page, the form is sent as a normal request. We tested a saved static copy of the shop page, not a specific cache plugin.
It is tested with Twenty Twenty-Five (a block theme), Storefront, Astra and Kadence. With Elementor, the button shows on your shop, category and search pages. A product list placed on another page (for example the [products] shortcode in an Elementor page) gets no button in this version.
Yes. The popup sends the same request the product page sends, so prices, options and checks from other plugins run the same way.
If the request fails or is blocked, the script does not load, or it times out, the button opens the normal product page.
No. The free plugin stores no personal data, sets no cookies and sends nothing to any other server. When you delete the plugin, its settings are removed; your products and orders are not touched.
