SETUP GUIDE
How to set it up.
Install Quote Request
- Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New and search for Quote Request. Or upload the zip under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
- Open WooCommerce → Quote Request. You will see a notice until a WhatsApp number is saved. That is normal.
Add your WhatsApp number
Open the WhatsApp tab.
- WhatsApp number: your number with the country code and no leading 0. For Malaysia,
012-345 6789becomes60123456789. Spaces, dashes and the + sign are removed when you save. - Greeting: the first line of the message the shopper sends, for example "Hi, I would like a quote for:".
- Click Save Changes, then Send test to see the message in WhatsApp.
No number, no button. Quote Request never shows a quote button that goes nowhere.
Hide prices
Open the General tab.
- Hide prices on all products: tick it to hide every price. It is off until you turn it on.
- Text instead of price: what shoppers see instead, for example "Price on request".
- Hide Add to Cart: removes the cart button on products with a hidden price, so shoppers ask for a quote instead.
The Button tab sets the button text and where it shows: on the product page, on the shop grid, or both.
What shoppers see
The price is replaced by your text, and a Request quote button appears. When pressed, WhatsApp opens with your greeting, the product name and its link already written. You reply in WhatsApp as usual.
Works with Storefront, Astra, Kadence and block themes such as Twenty Twenty-Five. When a price is hidden, Quote Request also removes it from the product's Google data (JSON-LD).
Show or hide the price on one product
Edit a product in Products. In the Quote Request box, choose:
- Don't hide price on this product: keeps the price visible even when hiding is on for all products.
- Always hide price on this product: hides it even when hiding is off.
Pro features
Pro options are shown greyed out on the Rules & quote list tab, so you can see what they do. Pro adds:
- Hide prices only for chosen categories or products, or by user role, country, price range or stock.
- A quote list: shoppers collect several products and send one WhatsApp message.
- Message templates with tags such as
{product},{sku},{qty}. - A different WhatsApp number per category or product, button design, an email form and business hours.

No WhatsApp number is saved yet. Enter it on the WhatsApp tab and save.
Digits with the country code and no 0 after it, 8 to 15 digits. Malaysia example: 60123456789.
Yes. Quote Request removes the price from the product's structured data when it is hidden. The WooCommerce Store API can still return prices, so restrict it if you hide prices from competitors.
The free setting (hide on all products) is the same for everyone and safe to cache. Pro rules that depend on the visitor (role, login, country, business hours) need product and shop pages excluded from full-page cache.
Nowhere on your site. The message is written and sent in WhatsApp. Quote Request only saves your settings.
