Ask five web designers in Malaysia for a price and you can get five very different answers. That is not because someone is cheating you. A "website" can mean a one-page site, a 4-page company site or a full online shop, and each is a different amount of work.
Here is what actually moves the price, so you can compare quotes properly.
What makes a website cost more
- Number of pages. Each page needs its own layout, text and photos. A one-page site is the cheapest; 10 pages cost much more than 4.
- Template or designed from scratch. A template is quick but looks like many other sites. A design made for your business takes longer and costs more.
- Who writes the text. If you supply the words, it is cheaper. If the designer writes them, add that time.
- Features. A contact form is simple. Booking, an online shop, a members area or a calculator add real work.
- Languages. English and Bahasa Melayu means every page twice.
Costs that are not in the design price
Two things every website needs, every year: a domain (your .com.my or .com address) and hosting (the server your site lives on). Most designers, including us, do not include them. You buy them in your own name, so the website stays yours if you ever change designer.
Also ask: are there monthly fees to the designer? Who can change the text later, and what does a change cost? Who owns the files?
What it costs with us
- Website revamp, RM1499, paid once. We rebuild your current website from scratch in clean code, with Home, About, Services and Contact pages. Fast, made for phones, basic SEO set up.
- New business, one page, RM499. For a business without a website yet: one scrolling page, up to 6 sections, WhatsApp and an enquiry form. Limited founding-client offer (see the Website design page).
- Online shops, web apps and fixes: free quote, fixed price before we start.
Hosting and domain are not included. You buy them separately with your own provider; we can suggest one.
How to compare quotes
Put the quotes side by side and check the same four things: how many pages, who writes the text, what happens after launch (changes, fixes), and whether there are yearly or monthly fees. The cheapest quote is often the one that charges later.
